A long time I started my college journey in the Fall of 2004 because I graduated summer you know in the spring of 2004 from high school, not all guys, and telling you I’m not old but I started by going to a tech school it was like a branch of Penn State pen. It’s called Pentek, huh I went I did the training the University of Phoenix MBA cost College Dropout.
was a bachelor once to a marine and I was living in California and I decided I wanted to finish my education. You know I was in my recovery. I was living life like I was an adult and he got a nice military discount.
So I decided to sign up in California
They actually had brick-and-mortar campuses for the University of Phoenix which was awesome. So the classroom style like how it went down was you went to class one night a week for four hours and you were essentially lectured to you did group projects and you got to you know just kind of communicate.
And then outside of class, you are required to read about four chapters and do about one paper sometimes for a week. You also had learning team projects which were easier because you have to actually see the team members face to face.
So I didn’t hate it in my early. Ears with the University of Phoenix and you also had to do participation posts during class or participation posts that will make sense later you have to do participation in class so you had to answer questions you had to be involved and engaged and I actually really enjoyed it.
I had a solid crew of people with that I had met and formed bonds and we were on the same program working for the same degree I loved it but my ex-husband got out of the military. I think it was December 2012. If I remember correctly it hadn’t been very long since I did start. I think I started in January 2012 and by December 2012.
He decided we were going to go back to Pennsylvania Cool That’s fine. The University of Phoenix has campuses everywhere. So I thought they don’t. They’re actually shutting a lot of campuses down so I had to switch to online classrooms now.

The online classrooms are not as good as the brick-and-mortar. So if you can go to a brick-and-mortar University of Phoenix cool I highly highly recommend it. Let me tell you a little bit about what online classes look like for me. Now I know that they have changed their interface recently so it does look a little bit different. And there are slightly different requirements.
I have talked to Jessica. Kent about this she is enrolled currently and we’ve discussed a little bit of the changes but it’s a five-week program same with brick and mortar five-week classes. You have to do the same amount of reading so three to four chapters a week the same amount of projects one or possibly two but not in your early years at also one project weak team assignments which alternated so if you had to do you know sometimes you would do like an individual and a team on the same week with a be small assignments.
Then other weeks you do a big team assignment and in the next we could be a big individual and then like week three was always like the small team ones and then it split.
So you also had to participate. Ocean posts like I accidentally mentioned earlier but this time you had to do eight posts throughout the week and they had to be substantial posts.

question= Is the University of Phoenix affordable?
Tuition for the University of Phoenix Online Campus is $9,467 for the 2020/2021 academic year. This is 35% cheaper than the national average private for-profit four-year college tuition of $14,490. The cost is 36% cheaper than the average Arizona tuition of $14,888 for 4-year colleges.
So it’s like at the beginning it was just substantial where it said the conversation and you ask questions and you responded to what they said and elaborated on it. And that was cool. It got to the point where it was like a word count and you had to have a question and you had a mess and do not have the answer to so many peoples and then post your own and then do it just got to be so hard and the honestly that
Fashion questions Like our participation post. That was the bane of my existence at the University of Phoenix aside from the team projects online. When I came into the program online like the degree had already started. So when I first started I’m brick and mortar we all started together. We started in the first class and you can follow the trajectory and literally be with the same learning team.
The whole way through I’m lying doesn’t give you that luxury it can sometimes but it did not for me. I literally Did not have the same team members ever. So you’re working with these people on assignments that you can’t ever see in a brick-and-mortar class we would go meet like before class we would spend an hour before class or would come to meet a different day at Panera because that’s where I worked.
But it sucks when you can’t actually work in real-time with someone on an assignment because then you’re putting together like five people’s or three to five people’s you know different paragraphs for this paper. And then I always.
University of Phoenix is often looked down upon
I am dropping the team lead because now. I wanted to take that on and it sucked and I’m a perfectionist. So like I would go through and change more than I needed to I ended up with a very high GPA. I ended up failing a class because it’s a long story primarily because of my divorce.
So I had that on there but my GPA when I graduated was a 3.65 which I am pretty dang proud of if I don’t say it like that’s awesome. And it kind of leads me to my next point. Your University of Phoenix is often looked down upon. People think that the quality of education is lackluster and that it’s just like you pay for a degree and you don’t do any work and that is so not true.
You can spend lots of money and scrape by with this degree you could you’re not going to get anything out of it and it’s going to show in your work. It’s going to show in your assignments. It’s going to show for the rest of your life that you’re carrying around a piece of paper that literally means nothing. But for me I took it.
Seriously and just in the few conversations, I’ve had with Jessica can’t about her schoolwork She takes it incredibly seriously in most of my courses. I got a case like a is the whole way through I had a think to bees and then the 1/2 but gave it my I gave it my all because for me the degree wasn’t about a career. It wasn’t about advancement it was about an accomplishment it was something that I wanted to do for myself because I had put myself through so much.
